It is with great pride and an eager heart that we present to you our new record ‘Where My Communist Heart Meets My Capitalist Mind.’ As we have said before, It’s difficult to even express how excited we are to finally be unleashing this record for everyone to hear. As with any record or any artistic process there are challenges to be faced in their creation, but for us this record posed some heavy questions that struck and shook us deeply to our core… this record is living document of how we collectively and individually faced all of these challenges (be they external or internal) and came out on the other side… so thank you for allowing us to share these moments that mean so much to us, with you.
This is a record about politics… though it has nothing to do with domestic or international affairs. This is a record about people and internal governing of the self… it’s about the conflicts and collisions of the head versus the heart. It investigates how these two forces sometimes align yet oftentimes don’t… this record is an investigation in to the aftermath, the outcome when the two forces battle, and what happens when the dust settles not only on the inside, but also on the outside to those all around us that are impacted by the war within.
We sincerely hope you enjoy this record… it was painstakingly crafted through months of sweat, tears, triumphs and heartbreak. Our goal was to make an honest and transparent record… with that I believe we have been successful.
